Introducing the 20K Homes Campaign!

SCATEH is taking the lead on bringing the 20K Homes Campaign to Simcoe County. Simcoe County is one of 21 “communities” registered with the campaign so far, and we are excited about the opportunity.  About the Campaign:

The 20,000 Homes Campaign is a national movement of communities working together to permanently house 20,000 of Canada’s most vulnerable homeless people by July 1, 2018.

Our work was inspired by the ground breaking 100,000 Homes Campaign but has been adapted to Canada. Find out more about our guiding principles and the six core elements of our campaign by reading our Manifesto.

The campaign is powered by the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness and supported by Community Solutions.

The campaign ties into our Housing First Strategy, and also involves a registry week. There are lots of resources provided to help us implement these in ways that make sense for Simcoe County, and we look forward to launching this campaign!
